MY TEACHING PLAN

Starting your new journey in an unfamiliar environment and uncertainty can be overwhelming. Being a pre-service teacher, away from familiarity, challenged me to work under pressure and be productive. During our class observations at Future Primary School, I was amazed at how the teachers handled their class and students. I believe classroom management is one of the most challenging jobs of a teacher, keeping your students behaving and participating actively in class discussions and group activities. Also, I observed that teachers do not make the lesson more complicated. Instead, they teach the lesson engagingly using games, songs, and interactive activities.

Thus, in conducting my teaching demo, I thoroughly planned how to deliver the lessons, create interactive activities, and exercise my teaching strategies and techniques at every grade level.

My educational philosophy is based on the importance of effective lesson planning, motivation, procedure, and evaluation. I believe that each student is unique and requires different approaches to properly understand a subject. Therefore, my lesson plans are created with the learning styles of each individual student in mind. Aside from teaching the curriculum, I’m focused on instilling values like respect, discipline and teamwork among students. Evaluations are important to me, as they help me identify the strengths and weaknesses of each student and further personalize my methods. My classes are filled with fun and interactive games and activities to make sure that my students are fully engaged and enjoying the learning process.
