TEACHING PRACTICE

In conducting my demo teaching, I usually greet the pupils and ask how they are. I start my lesson with a warm-up, which usually stretches or songs  to capture the students' attention. Then, I proceed to the motivation part of the lesson, where I can assess the student's prior knowledge and how I will deliver the lesson properly in an interactive manner. After motivation, I start the lesson properly, explaining the lesson's concepts through my teaching strategies, such as inductive and deductive methods, constructivism approach, and experiential learning. I relate the lesson to real-life experiences in order for the students to understand the lesson easily and effectively. I also ask thought-provoking questions to arouse their interest and curiosity about the lesson.

Then, after explaining, I proceed to the application, where they are going to practice what they have learned through an activity or worksheet. After that, I wrap up and summarize the lesson by asking questions to know if they understand the lesson. Lastly, I conduct an evaluation activity to see if they learned something from the day's lesson.

DEMO TEACHING

Classroom management is a crucial factor in fostering a positive learning environment. Similarly, organizing activities and projects that activate students' curiosity and creativity is essential for student achievement. It is also vital to consider fostering a diverse yet inclusive student body by providing a supportive environment where all students are encouraged to express their ideas and values. Thus, the instructional tools I used in my demo teaching are PowerPoint Presentation, television, and laptop. I also used instructional materials like the rectangular prism and clock models, modeling clay and sticks, and worksheets. I integrated these teaching strategies and techniques to deliver quality lessons and teaching to the students despite our language barrier. The language barrier is one of the most challenging problems in teaching the students because they need help understanding me. However, I am amazed at how they can still understand the lesson and be able to answer all the activities. They are very impressive despite not being able to speak in the English Language.
